Together, We are Affirming a Fundamental Understanding
There’s only One Water on Earth, and local acts of caring for our home watersheds contribute to the health of the planet’s great Water bodies and rebalancing the planetary hydrological cycle regulating our climate.
Together, these actions support the spirit of the Global Mutirão, “Beyond World Water Day” is introduced as the central theme of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) to be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10–21, 2025. In support of meeting the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN COP30 Digital Maloca, represents a shift toward shared responsibility, where humanity unites to advance urgent climate action and implement practical local solutions to give back to the precious biosphere sustaining all life.
As we honor the Amazon River Biome and the Essential Nature of Water, there will be many ways to engage. The opening event is a series of Global Conversations on March 23, hosted within the UN COP30 Digital Maloca space by the UN COP30 Presidency and Climate Social Forum spotlighting topics and presentations from Watershed projects worldwide. Participants are encouraged to explore the opportunities found in the Solutions Gallery.
The Be. Together Mutirão Hub, nested inside the SustainChain SDG accelerator platform, is showcasing WaterUnity Networks’ (WUN) growing community of Water Stewards, along WUN’s coordination framework for the practical, watershed-centered, coordinated community-led implementation of solutions.
